About Instructor School
This six day Instructor School (including Level 1* and 2) certifies you to:
Instruct YFFR Protocol using YFFR’s official and structured curriculum for:
- Academy Programs
- Training Demo Workshops
- In-service Trainings
- Conference presentations
- Assist with big events and presentations
*Level 1 only attendees will be able to teach drop-in style classes to agencies, but will not be offered structured curriculum. Rather are given pre-written classes for their use, with the ability to adapt as needed within the guidelines of the YFFR Protocol.
Participants will receive:
- Introduction to Tactical Skills for Law Enforcement and Fire Service (Level1)
- Techniques for Optimizing Human Performance (Level 2)
- Breaking Down YFFR Training Curriculum for Recruit Academies and In-Service Training (Level 2)
- 8 YFFR Mat Class Workshops
- Fascia Release Techniques for Optimal Mobility (Level 2)
- Peak Performance Drills (Level 2)
- Practice Teaching (Level 1 & 2)
- Standard Neurological Reset practices (similar to Yoga Nidra) (Level 1 & 2)
- Access to 1 year of YogaShield's Cyber Academy: On Demand short yoga classes, workshops and instructors only information. (Level 1 & 2)
- Digital Toolkit to support you after training (must successfully complete outside training requirements) (Level 1 & 2)
- Licensing agreement to use YFFR’s Structured Training Curriculum (must successfully complete outside training requirements and have a Service Agreement or Instructor Agreement in place.) (Level 1 & 2)
After this training attendees will know how to teach the YFFR Protocol to first responders in official training environments. By the end of Level 1 & 2 Training, attendees will have the tools to practice the techniques of YFFR Protocol themselves, speak authentically about yoga and the YFFR mission, and teach the YFFR Protocol with a high level of effectiveness and professionalism.
Participants who successfully complete Level 1: Basic Training are known as Instructor 1. YFFR Instructors will be expected to:
- Represent YFFR
- Exemplify YFFR values of professional excellence in training and cultural competency
- Uphold Standard Operating Procedures for YFFR teaching programs
Participants who successfully complete Level 2: Advanced Operations are known as Instructor 2. YFFR Instructors will be expected to:
- Represent YFFR at a higher level of professionalism
- Exemplify YFFR values of professional excellence in training and cultural competency
- Uphold Standard Operating Procedures for YFFR teaching programs
- Adhere to structured curriculum while practicing adaptability of curriculum when needed

Online Foundations Training Course (included in the 6 day training)
Post Training Requirements:
- Online Test (Level 1)
- Practice Classes (Level 1)
- Ride-alongs (for civilians) (Level 2)
- Written essay (Level 2)
- Required reading (Level 2)
