In Uncategorized by Olivia Samples

As YFFR keeps growing, so does our team! In January Mallory will be joining our family. Get to know her more below.

Mallory Dirks is a senior at Simpson College majoring in Public Relations with Sociology and Women’s and Gender Studies minors. She is the secretary for the Public Relations Student Society of America at Simpson.

1. Why are you interested in working at YFFR?

My dad has been a firefighter my whole life, so I am really close to first responders and I love the idea of YFFR. I think it is such a great concept and is very important for first responders!

2.What are you involved in at school?

I am in PRSSA, PRIDE and Simpson Feminists.

3.What is your dream job?

My dream job changes each week, it seems like. I
think doing PR/Corporate Comm for a big media company would be a cool experience. I would also like staying in the non-profit sector.

4. Where is the best place you’ve traveled?

This is a hard question. During my semester abroad in London, I was able to travel to so many cool places.
I loved living in London. It was such a culturally and historically rich city, and I learned so much about myself there!

I visited Edinburgh and the Scottish Highlands. The picture is while we were in Glen Coe, a beautiful spot in the highlands. It was incredible to see.

5. Fun fact?

I don’t know a fun fact about myself… I’d like to go live somewhere new after graduation!
